Explore career pathways within aerospace, aviation and defence industry on the first day of Airshows Downunder Shellharbour.
Airshows Downunder Shellharbour aims to inspire young Australians to consider careers within aviation, aerospace and defence industry. Careers Day will showcase a broad range of career insights from engineering to UAV operation, air traffic control, becoming a pilot, Australian Defence Force jobs, industry innovation and technology development and much more.
Careers Day will serve a dual function for students, either by inspiring career choices or confirming career direction through access to industry professionals and aviation career advisors
The following student categories are invited to register:
- Secondary schools years 9-12
- TAFE students
- University students
- Careers advisors and teachers
Students will have the opportunity to:
- Interact with industry professionals
- Discover and explore career opportunities
- Be informed and inspired
The day will have four main focus areas
Defence showcasing career paths available through the Australian Defence force
General Aviation including career paths in flying, engineering, maintenance
Technology a growing industry that includes careers in design and programming
Simulator Experiences allowing students to experience real aviation events such as flying and air traffic control
There is no fee to participate in the Careers Day and we encourage you to stay on and attend the full public airshow weekend.
