The current COVID-19 situation has had a monumental impact on events across the globe and Wings Over Illawarra is no exception.
As you are aware Wings Over Illawarra 2020 was originally planned for May but has been postponed until November 7th and 8th. The health and well-being of our staff, exhibitors, event participants and attendees is of utmost importance to us, and as such we are working with NSW Health in developing a comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan for the event to ensure the event can proceed safely in November.
Social distancing will be a reality for all of us for quite some time yet and will of course impact on the event. However, we are fortunate to have a very large event venue and are working on changes to the layout to ensure we minimise any health risks to all attendees. Rest assured we are doing everything possible to ensure everyone enjoys a safe, exciting and fun filled event in November.
All tickets purchased for the May event are valid for the November event so all you need to do is simply present your ticket at the event gate to gain entry.
As part of our COVID-19 Safety Plan we must have up to date contact details for all attendees and as such, unfortunately tickets will not be available for purchase at the gate this year and will need to be purchased online. Online ticket sales are available now and will remain available until the event closes, so there is no rush and can be left until the day of the event. All tickets will be emailed to the purchaser and provided you have access to your email on your mobile phone or tablet, tickets can be scanned direct from your mobile device at the entry gate.
For those that had already purchased tickets for the May event, but for some reason cannot attend in November, we are happy to offer a credit on your 2020 ticket to be transferred to the 2021 event, which is to be held over the weekend of 13th and 14th November 2021. In the unlikely event that the Wings Over Illawarra 2020 cannot proceed due to State or Federal Government Health restrictions, all tickets will be automatically transferred to Wings Over Illawarra 2021.
