Mark Bright, the director of Bright Events said he has welcomed the partnership explaining being aligned with Australia’s premier provider of aviation imagery will allow Wings Over Illawarra a perfect opportunity to showcase this premier event in all aspects of media.

Aviation Spotters Online (ASO), a group of passionate aviation photographers led by Mark Jessop and Leigh Atkinson, is a team of 10 photographers and videographers spread throughout Australia who have covered aviation as far afield as Greenland. Providing coverage for air shows and military exercises across Australia and regularly publishing team member articles on air shows and events in the US, New Zealand, UK, Japan and Korea.

The ASO team recognise the importance of working closely with air show management, the military as well as aircraft owners and operators to ensure that the published articles and media are second to none and show aviation at its best.

Mr. Jessop explains “The teamwork aspect of ASO is an important factor in getting the best coverage possible and this extends to the relationships we strive to build with the military, the pilots and event managers. We always look to maximise the impact of the coverage we provide whilst maintaining the highest standards in safety. Our goal is to always capture the best in aviation imaging and continue to grow our reputation as a professional media team.”

ASO have documented rare and unique aircraft and flights while working closely with the Australian Defence Force and civil aviation to capture and record history as it has never been captured before. Mr. Jessop says, “We strive to capture history as it happens so future generations can enjoy every angle of what is happening now”.

This dedicated team continues to push forward by introducing and perfecting the use of 360 cameras as well as staying keenly focused on their goal of producing the best in aviation imagery.
